The Montreal Canadiens are a professional ice hockey team based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The Canadiens are the oldest continuously functioning team in the National Hockey League (NHL), having won the most Stanley Cups (24) and being the most successful franchise in league history. The logo consists of a huge red letter "C" with a little capitalized red letter "A" outlined in blue. From 1911 to 1912, the letter count was increased to three "CAC" signifying the phrases Club, Athletique, and Canadiens. The fans' chant for supporting the club is "Be yours to hold it high" It was inspired by John McCrae's poem "In Flanders Fields" which was written in 1915.
