The franchise, Anaheim Ducks was founded in 1993 by the Disney Company. It was initially named the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim after the then-recent Disney film about a children's ice hockey team, The Mighty Ducks (1992). The team has only won one Stanley Cup in 2007. The club's logo shows a webbed foot producing a "D" followed by the letters "DUCKS" The writing is gold with orange and black accents that create a three-dimensional effect. Silver is used to outlining the entire logo. Above the team name, the wordmark "ANAHEIM" appears in black. Anaheimlich is the new slogan of the team.
