Pepperdine University's athletic teams are known as the Pepperdine Waves. The men's golf team has won 20 West Coast Conference championships (1987, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2010, 2015, 2018, 2019, and 2021). Pepperdine's current logo is a large "P" in navy blue with orange trim. The soft curve of the "P" and the blue color evokes ocean waves, while the orange trim was most likely inspired by California's bright sun.
