The athletic teams that represent Loyola Marymount University are known as the Loyola Marymount Lions. The Marymount Lions logo was redesigned in 2019 and began to look more professional and delightful. The 2008 lettering was rewritten in wider lines with more space between the characters. The color palette remained the same but in lighter and brighter shades of blue, red, and white. The custom letters' outlines became thicker, and more white was added between the characters' burgundy red bodies and blue outlines. With an average of 122 points per game, the 1990 Loyola Marymount basketball team was also the highest-scoring team in NCAA Division I history.
