Kentucky Wildcats are commonly known as the UK. They have won 13 national titles, including the men's basketball championship in 2012. The UK also has the 1988 women's cross country national championship, the 2020-21 women's volleyball championship, the rifle championships in 2011, 2018, and 2021, and 8 men's basketball titles. The club's logo consists of two interlacing letters, "U" and "K" (University of Kentucky). It was originally used as an alternate to the primary emblem in 1997. There was a modest change in the color scheme as well as the shape of the letters in 2016. The Cat Walk is a team ritual that connects Nutter Field House, where the team bus arrives, with Commonwealth Stadium, a distance of approximately 200 yards. Fans form a line along the Cat Walk path, and the team walks from the bus to the stadium while chanting the song Hail Kentucky, Alma Mater!
