Jim Palmer, the pitcher of Baltimore Orioles won his 20th game of the season on September 26, 1971. He became the fourth pitcher in Orioles history to do so. This made the 1971 Orioles pitching staff the first to have four 20-game winners after the 1920 Chicago White Sox. The seventeen logos that the club has updated varied in a range of elements and designs. Some have a monogram, some have a spherical stamp with text, while yet others have a bird. This is because the club has had multiple different owners, cities, and names. Each stage required a redesign of the logo, ranging from little tweaks to large-scale revisions.
