The University of Toledo's intercollegiate athletic teams are known as the Toledo Rockets. Since at least 1997, the Toledo Rockets logo has remained virtually unchanged. The pictorial portion of the emblem is represented by an upward-flying rocket. The rocket is white with dark blue accents. It is launched from the large word "Toledo." The word "Toledo" is yellow with a thin dark blue trim. The typography featured here is one-of-a-kind. The university was named Conference tournament champions in 1980, Conference regular season champions in 1954, 1967, 1972, 1979, 1980, 1981, 2007, 2014, 2021, 2022, and Conference division season champions in 1999, 2000, 2005, 2007, 2013, 2014, 2018, 2019.
