Richmond Spiders - NCAA Team Color Codes

The Richmond Spiders are the athletic teams of the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia. They have won eight NCAA tournaments. The logo is simply a spider. No typography, no extraneous details, just the body and paws of the insect, which many people find repulsive. To make matters worse, the paws have a realistic outline. The Spiders used "One Richmond" as their primary marketing slogan to continue to unite and energize the student-athletes, coaches, staff, campus community, alumni, and fan base.
