La Salle University's varsity sports teams are known as the La Salle Explorers. They won 2 national championships in 1954 and 1980. The current emblem is done in blue, yellow, and white. It consists of an arched inscription with "La Salle" in yellow and "Explorers" in white set on the bottom line, as well as a graphical part on top of the logo. The graphical portion of the emblem featured a profile portrait of a man. The man is facing left, wearing a tricorne hat with a large feather in it, and peering through a spyglass.
