The Pittsburgh Steelers have a regular-season record of 444-282-2 and an overall record of 480-305-2 including the playoffs since the NFL merger in 1970. The team made the playoffs 30 times, won their division 22 times, competed in 16 AFC championship games, and won six of their eight Super Bowls. The Steelers petitioned the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) for permission to use their emblem in 1962. The three diamonds in the logo represent the three steel-making materials: yellow for coal, red for iron, and blue for steel scrap. During games, spectators yell, "Here We Go, Steelers!" While it appears to be a simple chant, there is some history behind it as well. the slogan was composed and released by Rodger Wood in 1994. It was and still is intended as a Steelers fight song. Moreover, it has become the team's anthem during the playoffs.
