The Pittsburgh Panthers football program is an intercollegiate football team known as "Pitt" It has nine national championships, three conference crowns, and two division titles. The current logo consisted of merely four letters PITT in a light electric blue with yellow highlights. The color contrast made the entire logo unique and eye-catching. It looks great against any color or pattern of the background. There are many game traditions that fans follow, such as students tossing up every time Pitt scores, banging on the backs of the seats on third down, pretending to pour ketchup bottles when Pitt enters the red zone, raising four fingers at the start of the fourth quarter and chanting "go, Pitt, go Pitt first down" And the slogan of the team is "Hail to Pitt"
