The Albany Great Danes are the NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic programs of the University at Albany, SUNY, which is situated in Albany, New York. They won their 100th Conference Championship since joining Division I athletics in 1999 on May 14, 2017, when Softball won the 2017 America East Championship. They have six Conference championships. The previous logo, adopted in 1993, had gold and purple capital "A" A broad white stripe with the text "Albany" inside replaced the horizontal bar. The wording was written in purple. The team's tagline is Dane above UAlbany.
