Fairfield University's athletic programs are known as the Fairfield Stags, and they are based in Fairfield, Connecticut. They won the MAAC Regular Season Championship in 1986, as well as the MAAC Championship Tournament in 1986, 1987, and 1997. The logo is a stag's head turned to the right. Horizontal strokes contributed to the creation of a dynamic style. The name of the university is highlighted in bright red below. "Fight for Fairfield U!" says the stags' slogan.
