Canisius Golden Griffins - NCAA Team Color Codes

The 16 varsity teams that represent Canisius College in intercollegiate athletic games are known as the Canisius College Golden Griffins. The insignia contains a yellow griffin with a lion’s body. It has large feathered wings and a white bird’s head. The paws with sharp claws of the animal are moving forward. The inscription “Canisius College” complement the graphical image in two lines. The first word Canisius is trimmed with thin light lines in sans serif font. A long spike extends to the left from the bottom of the "S," forming an arch and emphasizing all but the first "C." The font for the word "College" is much simpler: it is a geometric grotesque with lowercase letters in a rectangular shape. The color scheme includes orange, white, and navy blue. The golden griffins is their slogan. The school has never won a national championship.
