Calcio Associazione Chievo Verona is also known as Chievo. It was a Chievo-based professional Italian football club. The club was founded in 1929 in the small town of Chievo. It had no official relationship with the country's Football Federation for the first two years. It did, however, participate in some amateur games. It was called O.N.D. Chievo back then. The fascist regime came up with the original name. In the fall of 1931, the team played its first official league game. Malesani led the team to victory in Serie C1 and promotion to Serie B.
