How To Measure Pants

Please note that the pants should be laid flat on a smooth surface or table for precise measurement.

Half waist: Button up the pants and lay the garment out on a smooth or flat surface. Measure from one side of the waist to the other with the help of measuring tape.

Half hips: Button up the pant and lay it out on a smooth or flat surface. Remove any fullness or wrinkles from the back panel for accurate measurements. Using a measurement tape, measure the distance from two hip points C and D as shown by image on the left.

Inseam: Button up the pants and lay them out on a smooth or flat surface. With the help of measuring tape, measure the distance of inseam from the crotch area, where the front and back seams connect, point G all the way to the bottom of the leg, point H to the length you wish to wear and cover with shoes or boots.

Half thigh: Button up the pants and lay the garment on the flat surface. Measure from the crotch seam line from point E in the left image to the outside of the leg, point F similar to the waist band.

Outseam/pants length: Button up the pants, and lay the garment out on a flat or smooth surface with outseams at both edges. Ensure that there are no fullness or wrinkles from the back panel. Measure the distance from the upper part of the waist band all the way to the bottom part of the hem.

How to Measure Men Pants?

When it comes to measuring men's pants, there are some differences in the measurement process due to variations in body shape and fit preferences. Here are some key points to consider:

Waist Measurement:
Men's Pants: Measure the natural waistline, typically located around the navel area.

Hip Measurement:
Men's Pants: Measure around the fullest part of the hips, usually around the hip bone area.

Rise Measurement:
Men's Pants: Measure from the crotch seam to the top of the waistband at the front.

Inseam Measurement:
Men's Pants: Measure from the crotch seam to the desired pant length, typically the bottom of the leg or the top of the shoe.

Thigh and Leg Opening Measurements:
Men's Pants: Thigh measurement is usually taken around the widest part of the thigh, and leg opening measurement is taken at the bottom of the pant leg.

It's important to note that these are general guidelines, and the specific measurement instructions may vary depending on the brand, style, and personal preferences. Always refer to the sizing guidelines provided by the manufacturer or retailer when measuring pants for the most accurate fit.

How to Measure Women Pants?

When it comes to measuring women's pants, there are some differences in the measurement process due to variations in body shape and fit preferences. Here are some key points to consider:

Waist Measurement:
Women's Pants: Measure the natural waistline, which is usually higher than men's, closer to the narrowest part of the torso.

Hip Measurement:
Women's Pants: Measure around the fullest part of the hips and buttocks, usually around the widest part of the hip area.

Rise Measurement:
Women's Pants: Measure from the crotch seam to the top of the waistband at the front and back, as women's pants often have different rise options such as low-rise, mid-rise, or high-rise.

Inseam Measurement:
Women's Pants: Measure from the crotch seam to the desired pant length, considering different styles such as full-length pants, capris, or shorts.

Thigh and Leg Opening Measurements:
Women's Pants: Thigh measurement is also taken around the widest part of the thigh, and leg opening measurement can vary depending on the style of the pants (e.g., straight, bootcut, flare).

It's important to note that these are general guidelines, and the specific measurement instructions may vary depending on the brand, style, and personal preferences. Always refer to the sizing guidelines provided by the manufacturer or retailer when measuring pants for the most accurate fit.
