Quality and safety are core principles at Gemline. We have always been committed to providing high quality, safe products for our customers.
We continually work with our vendors and our supply chain partners to ensure that federal and state health and safety standards are met.
All of our products are compliant with the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) regulations currently in effect. We also offer a broad selection of products that meet CPSIA guidelines for use by children 12 years and younger.
Of particular interest are the CPSIA regulations for lead content, phthalates, tracking labels and General Certificates of Conformity (GCC) forms.
Effective August 14, 2008, the CPSIA requires the concentration of lead in the surface coatings of children's products be 90 parts per million (ppm) or less.
Effective August 14, 2011, the CPSIA requires the total lead content of accessible parts of children's products be 100 ppm or less.
As of January 1, 2012, the CPSC started enforcing a maximum phthalate content of 0.1% in children's toys and child care articles.
Label tracking for children's products came into effect as of August 14, 2009. Gemline is in compliance with this requirement for any children's product manufactured after this date.
Third party test reports and General Compliance Certificates (GCC) are available upon request.
